The Museum of Natural Sciences in Kotel reveals the natural richness of the Eastern Balkan.
Vasil Georgiev, its founder, is a local teacher and naturalist who has been collecting speciments from different natural areas for 60 years and has created wide collections of fossils, insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles and birds.

Kotel

A point of interest in the town of Kotel is the exhibition dedicated to the Kotel Awakening in the building that also houses the Georgi Stoykov Rakovski Pantheon. It opened in 1981 on the occasion of the 1,300th anniversary of Bulgaria's founding.

Dimitar Nikolov Assenov , better known as Hadji Dimitar , is one of the most prominent Bulgarian voevodes. He died on Mount Bouzloudja at the age of 28.His dead inspired Hristo Botev, a famous revolutionary poet.

The early Byzantine and Medieval fortress Tuida is an original archaeological monument, dated back to the late antiquity period. Located on the Hissarlaka hill in the northeastern part of Sliven it reveals a magnificent view to the majestic Blue rocks and the town.

Art gallery "Dimitar Dobrovich" in town of Sliven is inheritor of an Art exhibition from 1905, open in the library of the community center Zora. This first exhibition was made by the artist Jordan Kyuvliev and contains 14 works of the painter from Sliven - Dimitar Dobrovich. Later in the exhibition are added also works of Jordan Kyuvliev, left by his mother after his tragic death.
