The World Travel Market in London that took place between 8-11 November 2010 was the maiden one for the touroperator and travel agent VIP-Sliven Ltd (OOD). We are proud that as a starting touroperator we were one of the 250 specially invited companies by the Meridian Club and the Tourism Society of Great Britain. The access that we were granted was at the highes level - from meeting ministers to networking in specially designated areas during the WTM to which access was granted only to those 250 companies from all over the world.
We believe that the work we could accomplish would result positively over the tourism sector in the Sliven region. Of course, it is going to be tough bearing in mind the fact that the destination may be new and unfamiliar to most of the tourism companies with which we established partnerships. This is a fact not only for the Sliven region but for the others in the country as well and in greatest extent for the attractions and packages that we developed and offered during the event. There was a tremendous interest towards them and this leads us thinking that it is in out hands and in the hands of hoteliers, owners of guest houses, attractions, restaurant managers and everyone in the sector to materialise the provoked interest and attract foreign tourists not only with prices but with service quality as well.
Most of the foreign toruoperators have the notion of Bulgaria as a destination for mass tourism - cheap seaside holidays, skiing, cheap alcohol, all inclusive and women. That is all ! The image of Bulgaria in the majority of people's minds is precisely the same.
This is the reason that provokes interest towards the new, the alternative and the different holiday that we could see was enormous. It is not surprising that the alternative holidays worldwide are one of the most attractive and reach new heights.Като цяло, посещението на Световното изложение в Лондон беше един добър старт на "ВИП-Сливен" ООД, който в най-скоро време ще се материализира.
